About this experience

Conflict isn’t something to avoid—it’s the heat that drives growth and excellence.

In this interactive Leadership Lunch & Learn, leadership coach Dr. Evan Lynn and Chef Jeff combine leadership insight with hands-on cooking to explore how conflict, when managed well, strengthens teams. Through discussion, reflection, and a collaborative culinary experience, you’ll learn how to lead through tension, navigate difficult conversations, and turn challenging moments into opportunities for improvement.

After enjoying lunch, participants will sear ribeye steaks in pairs, using the cooking process to explore how heat parallels conflict. You’ll practice preparing for difficult conversations, managing the “temperature” of disagreement, and guiding conflict toward productive outcomes.

This session focuses on preparing for, engaging in, and resolving conflict in ways that build trust, encourage growth, and prevent unnecessary damage. You’ll leave with practical strategies to handle challenging situations while keeping your team aligned and focused.

Expect thoughtful discussion, hands-on practice, and a unique experience that blends leadership development with culinary insight.
