Leadership at the Table started with a relationship.
Evan met Jeff at Sweet & Savory while attending a cooking class. Over time, what began as casual conversations turned into something more.
We kept crossing paths around Chattanooga, and naturally, those conversations started to go deeper. We realized we were both drawn to the same things: excelling in life, resilience, and leadership. We saw leadership not as a title, but a way of life. Leadership through health, fitness, discipline, and spirituality.
Through how you show up for yourself and ultimately, how you show up for others. While we come from completely different worlds organizational leadership development and professional culinary experience—we started to notice something.
The parallels were everywhere in what we do. In the kitchen, timing matters. Precision matters. Consistency matters. In leadership, the same is true.
We found ourselves constantly exchanging ideas, learning from one another, and challenging each other’s thinking. And at some point, the question became:
How do we create something that actually sticks for others? The reality is, most people have been through leadership training before. Workshops, courses, virtual sessions.
And while they can be valuable, they often lack something critical— a tangible connection. Something you can feel. Practice. Experience.
That’s where this came from. Cooking is hands-on. Immediate. Real.
You see what works. You see, feel, taste, and smell what doesn’t. Then you adjust in real time. The same should be true for leadership. So we built Leadership at the Table to bring those worlds together. To create an experience that is engaging, practical, and memorable.
Something different from anything else in Chattanooga. And more importantly, something that stays with you long after you leave the table.
Because leadership isn’t just something you learn.
It’s something you practice, every day.
