How do you make food taste great AND healthy at the same time?
Healthy is less about the food and more about the cooking techniques to make it tasty. Boiled chicken is bland, properly seared chicken is robust with flavor. You’ve probably heard “Fat is Flavor” when you’re cooking. Whoever said that forgot to mention herbs, spices, and chilis add flavor and depth beyond compare.
We’re going to cook straight out of my personal experience of once being overweight and now being in the best shape of my life. They say (whoever “they” are) to “never trust a skinny chef.” That is true until you’ve met one who used to be heavier and has cooked his way thin.
The common misconception is that “healthy” is boring and bland. In this class we will set you straight. We’ll be using techniques such as searing and seasoning to accomplish our goals. I will share some of my signature spice rubs with you as well.
