Team Building Events:

We are very excited that you are interested in doing a team building event with us here at The Sweet and Savory Classroom! This a great way for your executives, staff, co-workers, or clients to get to know each other, take a break from the busy work atmosphere, and have an enjoyable time away from the office!

What does a Team building Event at Sweet and Savory look like:

When you arrive we great you with a smile and an apron. After everyone arrives your team will get settled into a cooking station. We will then give you a tour of the classroom and make everyone comfortable. From there what happens depends on the specific menu. Most classes have 2 rounds. Round #1 is the prep round where cooking items are divided between groups. Once the food items are prepped and ready we move into round #2, the Cooking Round. Typically in the cooking round one of our Chefs will demonstrate how to cook the menu items followed by your team recreating the menu items in pairs. At the end of cooking everyone enjoys the meal that they have created. We all sit together as one big family.

We are excited you're interested in bringing a group to the Sweet and Savory Classroom (S&S) for cooking fun. We have tried to keep our booking rates simple. If you have any questions, please call Jeff @ (423)661-8750. These group rates are for privately scheduled group classes only. If you do not wish to reserve our classroom explicitly for your group, please sign up for one of our regularly scheduled classes on our website.

Reservation Fee
To book our classroom for your next Cooking Class Event we require a reservation fee of $450 to secure your date. The reservation fee is refundable up to 30 days before your event date. Less than 30 days notice of cancellation your reservation fee is non-refundable. The reservation fee will be applied to the total bill on the day of your event.

Please Note: Friday evening and Saturday events require payment in full at the time of booking. No refunds will be given without 30 days advance notice.

Private Group Rate
Private group cooking classes are $70-$78 per person + 20% gratuity. The 'set price plus gratuity' is because groups receive a higher level of services than our regularly scheduled classes including staff, beverages, and personalized attention. We want your group to be extremely happy with their experience and we make every effort to do so.

We accept checks, cash, and/or credit cards. A 3.5% fee will be added to all credit card payments.

Your group must meet the minimum number of guests to reserve our classroom.
You are more than welcome to book a group for less than the minimum but you will be charged for the minimum. Please see the chart below for minimum requirements.

Some hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages are included in your Private Class.

Alcohol - At this time The Sweet and Savory Classroom has it's Wine License. We serve Wine, High Gravity Beer, and some Liquors. No outside beverages are permitted. ID's are required by every guest who desires to consume alcoholic beverages. 21 and older only.
Alcoholic Beverage Service
1. Alcohol for events can be pre-purchased by the glass or bottle.
2. Alcohol can be purchased individually by each guest.

Other Events

Yes, our space is available for Non Cooking Class Events - Please call Jeff @ (423)661-8750 to discuss.

As the host, you can add on items to your event order. If you need special items for your group not listed here, please contact us directly and we will be happy to accommodate.

S&S Classroom Apron for each guest $18 (house aprons are provided during class)

Included in your class - Your cooking class includes the menu items in the description below. We reserve the right to change the menu/ingredients at any time due to season and availability. Please note, not all cooking classes are alike. Look carefully over the class you choose and if you desire additional courses please contact us directly.

Waivers - All guests will be required to sign a waiver to participate.

Allergies/ Dietary Restrictions- Please let us know of any special needs and allergies ahead of time. Many allergies and dietary restrictions we can accommodate. Our cooking classroom uses nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, seafood, and shellfish and at no time can be completely free of these allergens. Anyone with allergies will be entering at their own risk.

1. Neapolitan Pizza - Make Fresh Dough, Fresh Mozzarella, Pizza Sauce

2. Thai Cooking - Make summer rolls, Larb, Pad Thai

3. Thai Street food - Make Chicken Satay, Fish cakes, Dumplings

4. New Orleans - Make gumbo, Creole shrimp and grits, Beignets ($74/person)

5. Chinese - Wontons and Moo Shi Beef

6. Southern Cooking - Fried Chicken, grits, braised veggies, Peach Berry Cobbler ($74/person)

7. Ramen- Make Noodles, Custard Eggs, broth, Sweet Soy Chicken and other toppings

8. Ultimate Burger - Make buns, pickles, grind meat

9. French Bistro - Make bacon/onion tart, Seared Chicken with Mustard Cream, Chocolate Soufflé

10. Mexican - Make fresh tortillas, Guacamole, enchiladas, and Churros

11. Rustic Italian - Make roasted veggie flatbread, Handmade Pasta, and Rustic Berry Tarts ($74/person)

12. Healthy Cooking - Braised Pork tenderloin, sticky rice, stuffed squash, Clafoutis

13. Peruvian Cooking - Papa Rellena, Peruvian Chicken w/Green sauce, Tres Leches

13. Homemade Pasta - Handmade Pasta and Tortellini, Marinara, Bacon and Pea Cream Sauce

14. Spanish Tapas - Stuffed Piquillo Peppers, Chorizo and Cheese Tortilla, Pan Con Tomate

15. Steakhouse Dinner - Wedge Salad, NY Strip Steak, Doughnuts w/Orange Compote. ($78/person)

16. Summertime Grilling - Grilled Romaine w/Lemon Yogurt, Mojo Pork, Brown Butter Crepes w/Flambé Fruit
